Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD, The Sparrow's Mill offers an inviting Korean dining experience that perfectly balances authentic flavors with a warm, cozy atmosphere. Located at 3/116-120 Liverpool St, this restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine made with care and passion.

The menu is a celebration of traditional Korean classics, with standout dishes that have quickly become customer favorites. For lunch, the TookbaeKi Bulgogi and the Yachae Bibimbap offer rich, satisfying flavors that showcase the harmony of marinated meats and fresh vegetables. Dive into comforting bowls like the 뚝배기 감자탕 (Potato Soup) or the hearty Al Tang, each bursting with umami and warmth.

For those looking for a more substantial meal, options such as the 와규 불고기 볶음 (Wagyu Bulgogi Stir Fry) and OjingO Bokum (Spicy Stir-fried Squid) deliver bold, complex tastes. The Pan-Fried Mackerel is elegantly cooked to highlight the fresh, oceanic flavors, while several bibimbap variations like the Bulgogi Dolsot Bibimbap and Dolsot Tuna Kimchi Bokumbab offer vibrant textures and a comforting warmth that Korean cuisine is known for.

Guests frequently rave about The Sparrow’s Mill’s signature Snow Cheese Chicken – a delectably crispy fried chicken smothered in a creamy, savory cheese sauce that feels indulgent but balanced. The crispy skin and juicy interior combined with the melted cheese create a truly unforgettable bite. It’s no wonder the fried chicken is a highlight for many, perfectly paired with a cold soju or a refreshing soft drink like Coke or Sprite.

Beyond the food, The Sparrow's Mill stands out for its authentic Korean ambiance. The interiors thoughtfully incorporate Korean design elements, creating a relaxed and intimate setting that invites diners to linger and savor every mouthful. Friendly and attentive service enhances the experience, making every visit feel special—whether you’re coming with friends, family, or a casual lunch meeting.

Some patrons note the slight room for improvement, such as a bit less variety in side dishes compared to other Korean restaurants, and minor disturbances from outside smokers, but these don’t overshadow the overall delightful experience. Many customers mention the welcoming atmosphere and the ability to reserve for large groups, which is ideal for celebrations or casual gatherings.

In short, The Sparrow’s Mill is a must-visit spot for any Korean food enthusiast in Sydney. Its deeply satisfying dishes, genuine hospitality, and cozy setting combine to make it more than just a meal – it’s an experience that keeps people coming back time and again.

We stumbled upon this Korean restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was calm and cozy, with decor that really gave off authentic Korean vibes. The food was excellent — especially their best-seller, the Snow Cheese Chicken . We’ll definitely be coming back! #ChiEats #foodiesoftiktok #sydfood #restaurantdishes #trendyfood

We had a great Korean meal here! The fried chicken was definitely the highlight – super crispy, flavorful, and came in a generous portion. The hot pot was rich and satisfying, with just the right amount of spice and plenty of ingredients to enjoy. As for the lemon-flavored soju, it was a bit too artificial for my taste – wouldn’t order that again. The side dishes were fresh and nicely presented, and the service was smooth and friendly. A solid place for Korean comfort food in Sydney!

Great food, the chicken cuts are juicy, the spicy one isn’t that spicy. The gave us less banchan compared to another restaurant. The only thing I don’t like about the experience in this restaurant is that some people are smoking outside while the door is open

Bang for buck with Korean fried chicken. There’s atmosphere is great and there’s plenty of seating. I managed to get a reservation last min for 20 people by calling early. The fried chicken was good and went well with soju. Would go back for fried chicken

Every time I go to the city this is always my best spot for having Korean food and I’ve been here since 2 years ago the food still being amazing as always as well as the service is extremely good. The workers they all very nice and friendly.

When you feel like K-food, this place is the must try spot! 5/5 for both taste and atmosphere. You can takeaway their signature friend chicken for round 2 ChiMek(chicken and beer) at home! Will definitely visit and try other menu later

Phenomenal experience. Food has excellent portions for the price. Not too expensive. Chicken is seasoned very well. Staff is very friendly and quick to greet and seat. I’ve came with just my partner and recently my parents too (4 total) and we were greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. Restaurant is clean and has public toilets, which is great instead of having to hold it or search for a nearby facility outside. I’ve eaten here at least 3 times and every time it’s a hit. We had to get take away containers for the leftovers.
